Both routes are completely paved but for the more adverturous rider there is the road that hugs the coastline more.

Whichever way you go, there is likely to be endless open roads with little traffic!

Getting there and away

Cape Ashizuri is probably one of the furthest (time-wise) away from Tokyo. The nearest station is Nakamura Station wich is about 42km away and from there it’s over four and a half hours (with a change of limited express in Kochi) just to Okayama.
