The road follows the Dōshi River through a scenic valley, offering gentle gradients, mountain views, and a mix of forest and rural landscapes. It’s well-loved by Tokyo-area cyclists for its accessibility, relatively low traffic, and steady climb, making it a great day ride or a gateway to the Fuji Five Lakes region. Cafes, rest stops, and small roadside shops add to the ride’s appeal.
