Cape Ashizuri

The Route
Cape Ashizuri has National Road 321 that runs around the cape, however many sections have smaller roads that sticker closer to the coast and have more climbing.

Getting there and away
East Side: Nakamura
Cape Ashizuri is probably one of the furthest (time-wise) away from Tokyo. The East end of the cape has access via Nakamura Station which is about 42km away and from there it’s over four and a half hours (with a change of limited express in Kochi) just to Okayama.
Nakamura is at the base of the Shimanto River so cyclists can continue their journey North as well
West Side: Sukumo
The West end of the cape also has a train station at Sukumo which offers service back to Nakamura with regular service and there two limited expresses back towards Kochi/Takamatsu.
The Tosa Kuroshio Railway allows bicycles to be taken on all local trains without a bicycle bag for an additional fee of 100yen, but one has to be reserve by phone the day before (Information in Japanese).
Cyclists can also continue riding up the coast of Shikoku towards Uwajima
